We fell in love with Muskoka when vacationing with our four small children at the family cottage on Whalley Lake in Magnetewan and camping at Algonquin Park.
The beauty of the lakes, trees and rocks and the refreshing air to breathe promote wellness and replenishment and when Ingrid had an opportunity to serve as the Executive Director for Christian Horizons for the North in 2014, we relocated to the Huntsville area.
Clarence is as an IT consultant and loves to work on all things related to technology, but has not lost his roots as a farm boy, who loves to be outdoors, either working on the property, taking photographs, or creating something in the shop.
Our four children are now married and have their own families and we began to search for a home on the water that could serve as a gathering place for our family. We were not expecting to become owners of a small cottage resort, however the beauty of the property and the idea to be able to share the property with others in this way caught hold and in June 2017, we moved to what was known as Allen's Landing. We renamed it Stillwater Cottages from the Psalms: He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.
We are excited to serve as your hosts and hope that each person who comes here has an opportunity to recharge and be replenished....
